For Parents

what we offer…

We work with parents to help them and the school understand their child’s needs and ensure they are being met. We balance our meetings with theory and practice tailored to the educators and the students they are serving.

Contact us for a free 15 minute consultation to discuss your family's needs and how we can support.

Parent Consultations

General Consultation

We can help parents prepare for and accompany them to a school meeting where they feel they need support. If you have an educational concern for your child and an upcoming meeting to address it, we will provide educational expertise and communication advice so that your goals are achieved. For parents who are new to the Paris area, we can also provide a list of organizations and providers that can help support you with the school process.

Specialized / Disability / Inclusion Consultation

This consultation is an effective way to receive expertise on a particular child, situation, or practice involving special education. This session can include the development and implementation of an Individualized Education Plan (IEP), school placement discussion, and/or assistance with school communication.

We can also provide you with referrals to direct educational therapists.

School Partners created a defined plan of action for our son’s schooling, one that was co-ordinated around an achievable and mutually understood plan. Motivated, knowledgeable and professional both Jessica and Emilia helped maximise the daily learning process which was a gift for all concerned.

We offer the following workshops to parents, parent associations and organizations that work with children. These workshops can take place in the evening and virtually (Zoom) in order to accommodate the schedule of busy parents.

  • How Do I Know When My Child is Getting a Quality Education? In this 1-hour workshop, parents learn to understand and differentiate between lower order thinking and higher order thinking (also known as critical thinking) in the classroom. Research has shown that students who use critical thinking skills are more engaged, become more innovative in their problem-solving, and use skills that are required beyond the classroom. Through this workshop parents also learn how to engage their child in higher order critical skills at home, giving them extra practice in this important skill.

This workshop is best suited for parents of children ages 6+.

  • Creating Engaging Play Spaces: Should I get my child the latest talking Elmo? Will my toddler learn to read faster with bright colored letters? How much time should my son spend in front of his light-up piano? Now more than ever children are spending a lot of time at home and through this1-hour workshop participants will learn about the importance of independent play and how to create engaging play spaces to foster independent play.

This workshop will be especially helpful for parents of children ages 0-6 years old.

I thought it was so informative and full of useful tidbits for us to take on board when deciding on what toys to buy and how to use them. Jessie spoke with so much passion we could’ve listened to her a lot longer than an hour!
